Living in Woodbury
Like most suburban communities in America, Woodbury certainly isn’t lacking in the shopping department. In fact, a significant portion of the local economy here is retail, as Woodbury is home to two traditional shopping centers in Tamarack Village and Woodbury Village, and one open-air shopping mall called Woodbury Lakes. Because of these and other leisurely attractions, development all throughout Woodbudy is increasing, especially on the residential side of things. As for local students living in the area, most of Woodbury is part of the South Washington County School District, with the majority of high school kids attending either Woodbury High School or East Ridge High School, which was somewhat recently built and located on the south east side of town.
Woodbury Real Estate at a Glance
Woodbury’s first suburban housing community was built all the way back in the mid 1950s, and since then, many more have of course followed suit. In fact, it seems that anymore, you can’t turn in any direction without finding an attractive and desirable housing development that’s filled with high quality built homes with all sorts of attractive living spaces. Tons of traditional two story homes fill out the Woodbury real estate landscape, some large and some small. But in a town with as many as 60,000 residents, it’s the variety of housing that really attracts so many different home buyers, and Woodbury is certainly no different. In terms of home prices, detached single-family homes in Woodbury tend to average around $460,000 to $475,000, while condos and townhomes usually fall somewhere in the $125,000 to $250,000 price range. It’s worth noting, however, that market conditions are always fluctuating, so it’s always best to check with a local Woodbury real estate pro to get the most up-to-date market conditions possible.
